Janice Keirstead Hennig

has been a professional artist for the past 30 years and art teacher who paints with bold colors in many styles, often described as expressionistic realism. Although Janice is best known for her watercolors of nature, wildlife, pet portraits and Okanagan scenes, she has recently expanded into acrylics on canvas. Her active lifestyle and exuberance for life brings a fresh, exciting perspective to all her artwork.

As the daughter of the famous Canadian artist James Lorimer Keirstead, Janice’s artistic talent was encouraged from an early age. Janice’s originals have been sold in many art shows and galleries since the mid 80’s. She has held two successful one-man art shows “Jazz and Janice” in Kelowna.

Janice maintains a home gallery where you can see her originals, lithographs and giftware by appointment. Her studio is often bustling with fun, busy with well attended art lessons for the public and workshops for teachers. The past few years Janice has been very active teaching students in local schools, sharing her passion for watercolour and art in general.

Exposure to a high quality arts experience sets a person on a lifelong path of artistic exploration
